Arsenal are very well in dreamland and rightly so. But can they maintain it? Mikel Arteta’s side are the outright league leaders after a new perfect start to the new season, taking everyone by surprise.
Lest we forget, ‘Trusting the process’ has been the anthem at the Emirates for a while now, finally, the trust is seemingly paying off with the Gunners having only lost to Manchester United the entire season while playing with flawless fluidity in what can only be termed as an exceptional season for Arteta’s men

After winning the 2003/04 Premier League title, the Gunners have been shooting blanks in their quest for Premier League glory for 18 consecutive years. However, this time round, halfway into the season they find themselves in unfamiliar territory topping the league on Christmas day after 15 years with defending champions Manchester City seven points adrift.
Mikel Arteta’s side are playing with composure and authority, dominating their opponents with the infamous tiki-taka style of play coupled with individual brilliance with pacy and technically gifted attackers at his disposal.

Arsenal’s young guns propelled by Norwegian maestro Martin Ordegard who has registered 7 goals and 5 assists this season, flanked by Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus look unstoppable with closest rivals Manchester City recently dropping points to Everton and Brentford.

The January transfer window is one of the most important windows in recent years in north London with the right acquisitions potentially holding the key to Arsenal’s first title triumph in 18 years, the Gunners are seeking to bolster their squad with the addition of Ukrainian wonderkid Mykhailo Mudryk whom Shktar Donestk value at €85M with Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix also considered to be one of the options to fill in the shoes of injured Gabriel Jesus. However, Arsenal are looking for other potential attackers after Madrid demanded a loan fee of €19M in addition to covering his wages for the loan spell of 6 months.

The acquisition of Aaron Ramsdale and recalling of William Saliba from Sheffield United and Marsaille respectively seems to have been perfectly timed with the duo alongside Ben white and Gabriel Maghalaes putting to rest the Gunners defensive woes with Arsenal having conceded the joint fewest goals in the league alongside Newcastle United.

With the second half of the season a couple of games away, can Arsenal replicate their first half of the season? Will Arsenal finally end their 18 year drought?
